not all GP practices will provide
every service.
Outside of our core services we are
providing:
- Childhood
Immunisations
- Cytology (smear
testing)
- Contraceptive
Services
- Maternity Care
- Flu Vaccination
- Minor Surgery
- Neonatal checks
- Monitoring of
rheumatoid drugs
The structure of
General Practice is now based on
quality of care and standards of
practice. This is known as the
Quality Outcome Framework (QOF). This
was introduced to 'recognize
practices who provide' a high
quality service for their patients.
Each year a practice 'aspires' to a
number of points (maximum 1050)
which relate to specific clinical
areas, practice
management/organisation and the
patient experience.
These standards are produced
nationally in line with current best
medical practice.
